Hyundai will demonstrate how drivers can send voice commands to their cars using Google Home and Assistant at Pepcom’s Digital Experience prior to the CES Show on January 4. The integration highlights the increasing connection between car and home, the company says.
Voice commands can include instructions to start the car, set the temperature, send a restaurant’s address to the car and lock the car — all without leaving the couch.
The integration links a customer’s Hyundai Blue Link Account with Google Assistant voice activated services, to control connected features after the customer has entered a personal identification number.
While not yet in production, visitors to CES can see how Blue Link Action on Google Home can send a destination to a car’s navigation system, remotely operate the horn and lights, start and stop charging of Hyundai plug-in vehicles, and remotely start the car and control climate.
