The dealership features a high-tech showroom which includes a digital “Welcome Wall,” — a VW dealership first in Canada — with messages in various languages and an array of VW images, videos and promotional info, said OpenRoad Auto Group.

The showroom is also equipped with iPads available for customers to search for inventory and calculate payments. It also houses and displays the very first VW Beetle to land in Canada in 1952, said OpenRoad Auto Group.

On the service side there are 18 service bays, a detail centre, automated car wash, modern customer lounge and ample free parking.

Specialized dealership services include Solo Test Drive days, OpenRoad House Calls, Service Valet, free car washes and free equipment rental of items such as bike racks and ski racks.

“We are pleased to partner with the team at OpenRoad Auto Group for this exciting new landmark dealership,” said Maria Stenström, President and Chief Executive Officer of Volkswagen Group Canada Inc., in a written release.

“We’re excited about our future here and look forward to building many strong connections with VW fans for years to come,” said Ben Lovie, General Manager of OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby.

OpenRoad Volkswagen Burnaby said it will hold a private grand opening celebration on August 13 that will be attended by VIP guests including Stenström and Christian Chia, President & CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.
