Car Media 2.0 offers 60-day no-charge license

Car Media 2.0 has announced a 60-day no-charge license for its New Car 2.0 library for select OEM brands, effective April 1.

The announcement came on March 31 and is geared towards brands such as General Motors (with the exception of Cadillac), Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Kia, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen.

“We at Car Media 2.0 believe that it is up to us, and the industry as a whole, to step up and help keep automotive retail motoring,” said Bart Tecza, CEO of Car Media 2.0. “With 78 franchised dealers in Canada, currently using New Car 2.0, the time is right to do our part in helping dealers continue to merchandise their new vehicles during these difficult times, no long-term obligation required.”

Car Media 2.0 is an Ontario-based service provider of professional, digital photographs for new and used vehicle listings. The company has partnered with automakers like Volvo, Kia, and dealers like the Plaza Auto Group. Its product delivers 25 images to new car listings specific to the year, make, model, trim, and colour. The images are live when the vehicle appears in the feed, which Car Media 2.0 says eliminates the need for independent capture.

“This will not be a trivial effort on our part and we will be working overtime trying to keep things orderly — all that to say, we will not be able to sustain all dealers all at once, this will have to be on a first come first served basis with late comers added to a queue,” said Tecza.
