With small SUVs one of the hottest car segments, and so many choices, Kelley Blue Book in the U.S. is helping consumers make a decision.
The editors at KBB compiled their 10 best small SUVS for 2016, all under $25,000.
“Balancing an SUV’s elevated driving position, superior cargo versatility and available all-wheel drive with the efficiency and affordability of a mainstream sedan, today’s small SUVs offer multifaceted appeal. It’s no wonder that it is one of the fastest-growing segments in the auto industry,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive marketing analyst for KBB.com, in a written release.
The 2016 Honda CR-V was “an easy pick for this top spot,” said KBB editors. It is “roomy, reliable, refined, efficient and just about everything else you might be seeking from a small SUV.” The small SUV was also named one of KBB’s best family cars of 2016.
Second place went to the 2016 Mazda CX-5, which editors said is “arguably the most stylish and most fun to drive entry in its class.”
A no-show on this list last year, Hyundai grabbed the number three spot with its redesigned 2016 Tucson.
The rest of the vehicles, in order, included:
- Kia Sorrento
- Subaru Forester
- Honda HR-V
- Toyota RAV4
- Nissan Rogue
- Jeep Renegade
- Jeep Wrangler
