Autotrader is reminding consumers that the inside of a vehicle is just as important as the outside.
“After all, that’s where you spend most of your time. So we wanted to create a list with the best of the best interiors you can have for a reasonable price,” said Brian Moody, executive editor of Autotrader, in a written release.
The U.S. car shopping website came out with its own list of the 10 Must-Experience Car Interiors for under $40,000, each from the 2016 or 2017 model year. Autotrader editors said they chose interiors based on style, comfort and design.
Here’s a list of their top picks, along with some of the vehicle features you can point out to your customers:
- 2016 Acura RDX: Autotrader editors said they liked the control layout, and how the centre stack has been pulled forward for easy access. The cabin also features soft, comfortable seats and improved trim, said the editors.
- 2017 Buick LaCrosse: The sweeping dashboard is the “star of the vehicle,” said the editors.
- 2016 Chevrolet Camaro: Editors said they were “blown away” with the new interior, which features a large infotainment screen and information display mounted in the gauge cluster.
- 2017 Ford Fusion: The cabin in the latest model has a high end, all-business control layout, giving it a luxury feel, said editors.
- 2016 Jaguar XE: Editors said passengers will receive “luxurious touches without paying a fortune.”
- 2016 Kia Optima: The fully redesigned cabin sports nice materials and a better control layout, said editors.
- 2016 Lexus NX: The vehicle has a more youthful and modern look, along with high-end features to help attract young shoppers, said editors.
- 2016 Lincoln MKC: The cabin is more simple and traditional, offering smooth lines and high-end surfaces throughout, said editors.
- 2016 Nissan Murano: Editors said they favoured the thick steering wheel, easily accessible controls and high-end surfaces on upper-level trims.
- 2016 Toyota Prius: A large centre touchscreen, huge information centre at the base of the windshield and glossy trim makes the vehicle feel more futuristic, said Autotrader editors.
