New TrueCar features to benefit dealers

TrueCar-300Apps continue to be a hot topic for dealers, and suppliers to the automotive sector continue to improve their apps for a better customer and buying experience.

One such supplier is TrueCar, which is rolling out new upgrades to its platform and mobile app, including improved communication features that will benefit its dealer partners in the U.S.

“TrueCar is a data-driven product designed to deliver the right incentive to the right customer at the right time,” said Scott Painter, founder and chief executive officer, TrueCar, in a written release.

“We’re committed to developing the finest mobile app and best programs to improve the car-buying experience for consumers and dealers, and believe Model Showcase and TrueCash will achieve that goal,” Painter added.

Among those features is the TrueCar mobile app’s news communication enhancements between in-market consumers and dealers, that adds transparency to the purchase process with a new tool dealers can use to help complete the sale.

TrueCar said OEMs will be able to take advantage of one of the new features called called TrueCash, which provides personalized incentive offers that are redeemable at both TrueCAR Certified Dealers and non-TrueCar dealerships.

The Model Showcase has been upgraded to provide an engaging visual experience on mobile devices, including high-resolution photography, embedded video and other content from OEMs.

TrueCar reports that more than half of its users are accessing the data through smartphone and tablet. Its app downloads for both iOS and Android devices topped 2.2 million after the first quarter of 2015.
