Honda encourages auto dealers to go green
To help encourage all auto dealers to reduce their environmental footprints, Honda has launched its “Green Dealer” Guide, a 93-page energy efficient roadmap for dealerships.
Intended to help dealerships and similar commercial buildings considered as having “high energy” loads, the automaker claims its Environmental Leadership Program over the past three years has helped 45 Honda and Acura dealers operating in the U.S. reduce their annual CO2 emissions collectively by approximately 4.5 kg (5,000 tons), cutting cumulative annual operating costs by more than $800,000 U.S. Now, Honda hopes dealers across all brands can accomplish the same.

“The bottom line is that green business is good business, and this guide gives dealers the tools they need to become more efficient and profitable at the same time,” said Steven Center, Vice-President of American Honda’s Environmental Business Development Office.
