EBlock recently announced the opening of a new auction facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia, as part of its expansion goals and its “Canada-first” strategy.
The automotive wholesale solutions company has been present as a digital auction technology provider in Canada for nine years. The new Halifax location is designed to accommodate all sales channels (online, live auctioneer, or in-lane) as part of an omnichannel approach. The doors open in July, with a grand opening to follow in September.
“The Halifax facility is more than just a physical location; it’s a testament to our evolving vision for the automotive wholesale landscape,” said Lisa Scott, President of EBlock, in a statement. “We are dedicated to delivering a seamless experience that combines the reliability of traditional auctions with the efficiency of digital solutions, all while supporting our customers with excellent service.”
The company said the new facility will also support LiveLanes, EBlock’s solution for real-time digital participation in live auctions within a single event and marketplace.
They said the 6.5-acres Halifax location can hold up to 600 vehicles. It features full mechanical services, reconditioning service bays, Canadian-wide transport, and extensive on-site services that include post-sale inspections. And for sales or customer specific events there will be two physical lanes with four auction blocks available.
“EBlock has established a leading digital wholesale marketplace for dealer-to-dealer transactions through ongoing investment in advanced technology,” said Scott in a statement. “Our focus now includes significant expansion of our land and logistics infrastructure nationwide to support the commercial sector,” she added.
