SNOW in New Orleans disrupts NADA attendees

January 22, 2025

A once-in-a century snowstorm dumped more than 10 inches of snowfall in New Orleans, shattering previous records and disrupting travel plans for thousands of car dealers and suppliers who were trying to make their way there for the 2025 NADA Show.

As it stands, some members of the Canadian auto dealer team are still planning to make their way down, but the situation is very fluid with thousands of flight cancellations stranding passengers.

The show’s organizers said: “NADA Show in New Orleans is On!”

In a statement on the NADA website, the show organizers say: “Despite the adverse weather impacting many southern states, including Louisiana, rest assured that NADA Show 2025 in New Orleans is ON!”

“We understand the winter storm has impacted travel plans for many. But the NADA Show remains on schedule thanks to proactive steps taken over the weekend in collaboration with city leaders, facility representatives, service contractors, hotels and more.”

The organizers of the Canada Night at NADA’eh event issued a statement advising that the event was full steam ahead — but that it had moved from the scheduled Thursday night to Friday but at the same venue and a new time.

“Facing cancellation we have moved the Canada Night NAD’eh party to Friday Jan 24 at the same location —  The Coronet. We have extended the hours from 3 p.m. until midnight. Food and drinks will be available throughout the event. Please drop in at your convenience,” said Dave Cook from Instyle Promotions and one of the organizers of the event. “Safe travels and we hope to see you in NOLA!”
