Renault, Nissan to boost common EV platforms, invest billions

Renault and Nissan will team up on producing electric cars, thanks to a US$26 billion investment plan that spans five years—helping them to stay competitive in the shift to electrification. “The two-decade old alliance, which also includes Mitsubishi Motors, said it would increase the number of common platforms for electric vehicles (EV) to five from four,” said Driving, adding that they “will build a combined EV line-up of 35 vehicles by 2030.” (Source: Driving.ca) Read the original story…
