Ford plans to stop producing vehicles in India and will shut down both of its plants in the country—in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu states—by the second quarter of 2022. It will, however, continue to produce car engines for export, according to the BBC. “Ford has been manufacturing cars in India for 25 years, but it has struggled to compete,” said the BBC.
