Carfax Canada launched a new service retention program for dealers called Carfax for Life that works together with its Care Care app.
The program is meant to help dealerships increase customer loyalty and drive repeat business in their service departments by leveraging the company’s own brand.
“We’re thrilled to introduce CARFAX for Life to Canadian dealerships as it works so well with the recently launched Car Care to drive service bay business and help Canadians take better care of their cars,” said Mark Rousseau, President and GM of Carfax Canada. “It helps dealers create ongoing engagement with their customers.”
Rousseau said company research shows that, among used vehicle buyers who service at a dealership, more than half will buy their next used vehicle from the same retailer.
Dealers that sign up allow their customers to receive a free vehicle history report (VHR) for the entire period of vehicle ownership. They can access the VHR through their Car Care account, which is free-of-charge, to receive vehicle-related email reminders and notifications from Car Care. The reminders will direct them back to their chosen dealership when service recommendations are due—such as oil changes, tire rotations, and other services.
