Volvo Valet app for pick-up and drop-off reaches Canada

Volvo Cars has rolled out a new app-based pick-up and drop-off service known as Volvo Valet for the Canadian market.

Consumers can service their vehicle without, or to a lesser degree, worrying about COVID-related safety issues through the proprietary smartphone app for iOS and Android to contact participating dealers and schedule an appointment.

“Safety has always been a top priority for Volvo, and that will never change,” said Matt Girgis, Managing Director, Volvo Cars Canada. “What will change is the technologies we employ to improve the customer experience. Volvo Valet is one way we are working to service our valued customers, safely and conveniently.”

Once an appointment is scheduled, a dealer employee will pick up the vehicle at a location the owner deems convenient for a physically-distanced handoff. Customers then receive a notification when their car has arrived at the dealership servicing centre, and again when the vehicle is ready to be returned.

Car owners can see where the employee driving their vehicle is, when they will arrive at the dealership, and when it will be returned — all through the app.

“With Volvo Valet, our customers don’t need to slow down or pause on what’s important in their lives,” said Girgis. “The app offers our customers exclusive access to a transparent maintenance process to help make their lives less complicated, more comfortable, and safer.”
