BMW CFO says Brexit could cost OEMs billions

Britain’s official separation from the European Union could cost automakers and industry suppliers up to 11 billion euros, or around CA$17.07 billion if cross-border trade does not remain tariff-free, according to Nicolas Peter, BMW’s Chief Financial Officer. “The auto industry association ACEA has estimated that it could cost carmakers and suppliers 10 to 11 billion euros,” said Peter. “We need tariff-free trade.
