Honda starts producing ventilators for Dynaflo

Honda has started producing and delivering critical components for the production of ventilators to Dynaflo Inc., which provides custom-engineered OEM vacuum pumps and compressors. The company is based in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The automaker partnered with the U.S. company to increase Dynaflo’s production of diaphragm compressors, which is needed for portable ventilators used in hospitals and by first responders. Honda is aiming to produce 10,000 compressors per month, once production fully ramps up.

“Honda associates have successfully transformed a portion of our technical training centre into an assembly line that will help support the urgent need to produce ventilator components,” said Rick Schostek, Executive Vice President, Honda North America. “With our supply of these key components to Dynaflo, we hope to help address one of the most pressing needs within the COVID-19 crisis.”

In Canada, Honda’s charitable arm The Honda Canada Foundation donated $500,000 to support essential nutrition and healthcare needs in response to COVID-19.
