Rhino Linings and Doetsch Off-Road ask fans to “Run My Build” for SEMA

4-RhinoLinings-300Rhino Linings, a leading supplier of spray on bed linings to automotive dealers, is showcasing it’s fun side by teaming up with Doetsch Off-Road for a special “Run My Build” contest. The idea is to give off-road enthusiasts a chance to design a customized Jeep Wrangler, of which the finished result will be showcased at this year’s Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, which runs from November 4-7, 2014.

Those who enter the contest online get a chance to decide on the theme of the Jeep build: rock crawler, street/beach cruiser or hunting rig. They will also vote on the build’s colours, graphics and aftermarket accessories including lights, bumpers, wheels and tires, sourced from some of the biggest names in the industry including Rhino Linings Doetsch Shocks, DropStar Wheels, TIS Wheels, Truck-Lite, JcrOffroad and Katzkin Automotive Leather. Once the votes are tallied, award-winning Jeep builder, Dave Doetsch, will bring the winning design to life.

Although the contest is primarily aimed at a consumer audience, Rhino Linings says Run My Build is also a chance to show it’s dealer customers that the company takes a very active role in advertising its promotions. It also showcases how custom and performance accessories can serve as an added profit centre for dealerships and promote their business beyond traditional channels.

“This is a great opportunity to involve fans of Rhino Linings, Dave Doetsch and Jeep in a build for one of the largest automotive events of the year,” says Elaine Luttrell, Director of Marketing and Customer Management for Rhino Linings Corporation. “Rhino Linings is excited to sponsor this build with Doetsch Off-Road, who is known for the quality and creativity they bring to a build.”

Accessorizing new trucks and off-road vehicles is a growing trend, with an increasing number of franchised dealers witnessing customer interest for personalized accessories during the vehicle purchase process. These can range from traditional items such as bedliners, tonneau covers, bug deflectors and step rails, to others such as suspension lift kits, larger wheel and tire combinations, custom graphics, exhaust systems, lights and more.
