AutoCanada purchases shares in BMW Canbec, MINI Mont Royal

1-AutoCanada-300Dealer group AutoCanada, recently announced that it had been granted approval from BMW Group Canada to purchase shares in Auto Canbec, which operates Montreal, Que-based BMW Canbec and MINI Mont Royal.

Both dealerships are well known premium auto retailers, not only within Greater Montreal but beyond, recognized for delivering quality service. Last year, both stores retailed a combined total of 1,652 new and 713 used vehicles from their 122,000 square foot facility.

The property, which is leased, includes a 35-car capacity showroom, a service centre with 35 bays and also a collision centre.

In regards to the AutoCanada approval to purchase shares in Auto Canbec, Pat Priestner, Auto Canada’s CEO stated that “BMW Canada’s approval represents a significant milestone for our company, adding two premium brands with unparalleled heritages to the AutoCanada family.”

Priestner also said that, “we would like to thank BMW Canada and its employees for all of their hard work and assistance with this transaction, and we look forward to developing a long term, mutually rewarding partnership.” The expected closing date for the transaction is June 2, 2014.
