Leading global consulting firm Frost & Sullivan has bestowed Swedish concern NIRA Dynamics AB with its annual Global TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) Customer Value Leadership Award. NIRA is recognized as a leading supplier of advanced indirect TPMS systems.
The market for Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, particularly indirect TPMS without pressure sensors located in the wheels is expected to witness double-digit over the next several years, mainly driven by legislation that mandates the fitment of TPMS sensors on vehicles sold in the largest passenger car markets in the world, notably the U.S., China and also markets in Europe.
Frost & Sullivan noted that NIRA Dynamics goes the extra mile to ensure it more than meets legislative requirements by taking into account key preferences of consumers while ensuring a low-cost solution.
Currently, indirect TPMS is seen as the most unique value-adding solution that ensures against false-positives and missed alerts, and is in operation on over 5.5 million vehicles around the world. Frost & Sullivan said that this represents a major achievement for an organization such as NIRA, without an anti-lock braking system (ABS) or electronic stability control system (ESC) product of its own, as most of the braking control suppliers today tend to offer TPMS systems as well.
Frost & Sullivan also noted that NIRA by its “constant drive to change for the better, is expected to extend its value proposition to more vehicles in Europe, China, and eventually the rest of the world.”
