UVeye expands AI inspection technology into Canada

UVeye has officially expanded into Canada, with its AI-powered vehicle inspection systems now operating at dealerships in British Columbia and Ontario as the company begins a broader national rollout.

The company announced July 30 that its computer vision technology is already in use at Trotman Auto Group dealerships, including Comox Valley Toyota and Cranbrook Toyota in British Columbia, with additional Canadian installations planned throughout 2026.

The drive-through system automatically scans vehicles entering the service lane, identifying issues such as tire wear, underbody damage, leaks, dents and scratches within seconds. It also generates a digital condition report that service advisors can review with customers and produces appraisal reports with high-resolution images for retail and wholesale use.

“Canada is a natural next step for us,” said Omer Bar Joseph, Chief Revenue Officer at UVeye. “Canadian roads are hard on vehicles, and much of that damage hides underneath, exactly where our systems look first.”

Virgil Davies, Fixed Operations Manager at Comox Valley Toyota, said the dealership adopted the technology to improve inspection consistency while helping identify repair opportunities that might otherwise be missed.

Brady Smith, General Manager at Cranbrook Toyota, said the system has helped standardize inspections and improve customer communication by providing visual evidence of vehicle condition during service check-in.

The Canadian launch builds on UVeye’s growing North American presence. The company said it has more than 1,000 inspection systems deployed or under contract across dealerships, fleet operators, auctions, rental companies and OEM logistics facilities, collectively inspecting millions of vehicles each month.

The expansion follows UVeye’s recent Canadian partnership with CARFAX Canada, announced earlier this year, which integrates vehicle history, service records and open recalls into the company’s automated inspection platform.
