In order to support franchised dealers who choose to conduct business with each other, Dealer-Auction Limited has selected Gareth Walker as its operations manager for dealer to-dealer digital platform, Dealer-Auction.ca. Walker’s new role will focus on making it easier for dealers to transact business with each other and find vehicle inventory, while growing sales in the Canadian marketplace. Dealer-Auction Limited is affiliated with Manheim, a leading global provider of vehicle remarketing services.
Dealer-Auction Limited, established in 2008, is the U.K.’s largest online auction portal dedicated to offering wholesale vehicles from franchised dealers to vetted wholesale buyers. With auctions totaling over 50,000 a year, it offers a unique opportunity for buyers to source the most desirable cars from the widest possible marketplace of franchise dealer sellers.
Walker, who joined Dealer-Auction in the U.K. two years ago as a business development manager, brings more than 22 years of auto industry experience to his new role. His extensive background includes a range of sales and management roles at the dealership level, and 10 years in management with Close Motor Finance, a dedicated auto finance company.
