Dealer, Ram owners help with Oklahoma tornado relief efforts

Dodge Ram dealersDuring this past weekend, which also marked Memorial Day in the U.S., Ram truck owners from cities near Moore, Okla., converged on disaster-torn neighborhoods to deliver supplies and help area residents cope with sorting through the rubble.

The weekend started at the Norman Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/Ram dealership where 18 Ram truck owners and area volunteers unloaded a Valrico semi full of supplies into the Ram pickup beds. Tad Agoglia, founder of First Response Team of America, directed the effort and led the Ram truck caravan into Moore where they distributed supplies, weaving their way through the destruction.

“Ram truck owners are people who provide for their families and country in a variety of ways,” remarked Fernando Arzola, Ram Advocate Manager, Chrysler Southwest Business Center. “It is in their DNA to help their neighbors when disaster strikes.”

Just before Memorial Day, The Chrysler Foundation, the charitable arm of Chrysler Group LLC, announced that it will provide $100,000 U.S. to First Response Team of America, a nonprofit disaster relief organization which assists local first responders with rescues and also provides help with cleanup efforts.
