Meet award-winning musician Boyd MacNeil
Boyd MacNeil is a multi-talented musician who plays the fiddle, mandolin, guitar and banjo. At 31, he’s the youngest of six siblings in the renowned, award-winning Celtic music group, The Barra MacNeils, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Before joining the family band in 2005, Boyd made his mark in the music biz, touring the globe with the celtic fusion band, Slainte Mhath (which means Good Health). He also played the fiddle with The Chieftains during their tour of Japan in 2008. On the side, he teaches fiddle at his home in Cape Breton, N.S.
“I like reliability and something comfortable. I knew the Honda had a good reputation. I took it out for a test drive and it was leagues above what I was driving at the time. It’s pretty high end for me. And it still works great.”
