Online used-vehicle retailer Clutch is expanding its physical presence in Atlantic Canada with the opening of a new customer hub in Halifax, continuing a strategy that combines digital retail with in-person customer support.
According to a company announcement, the 11,000-square-foot facility will serve as a pickup and drop-off location for customers buying or selling vehicles through Clutch’s online platform. The company also plans to double the size of its Halifax team as it grows its presence in the region.
The Halifax location is the third customer hub Clutch has opened in 2026, following new facilities in British Columbia and Ottawa. While the company was built as a digital-first retailer, it said the hubs are intended to complement its online model by offering customers additional flexibility and access to in-person assistance.
“We’ve seen how valuable physical locations are in giving customers more choice, whether they want to complete everything online or connect with our team in-person,” Dan Park, CEO of Clutch, in a statement.
The hub will allow customers to pick up or drop off vehicles purchased or sold through Clutch.ca, receive assistance comparing vehicles from the company’s online inventory and obtain support listing their current vehicle for sale.
“Our Customer Hubs are designed to complement Clutch’s digital-first experience by giving customers another way to engage with us,” said Stephen Seibel, Founder of Clutch, in a statement. “Whether someone is picking up a vehicle, selling their current one, or looking for guidance through the process, the Halifax team will provide the same seamless, customer-first experience that has helped us grow across the country.”
Founded in 2016, Clutch currently operates in Ontario and Nova Scotia, with vehicle-selling services also available in British Columbia.
