AutoCanada has completed the sale of three British Columbia dealerships.
The sale includes Island Chevrolet Buick GMC in Duncan, Abbotsford Volkswagen and Chilliwack Volkswagen.
AutoCanada said the locations were outside its core regional dealership clusters, limiting opportunities to create greater operating scale and efficiency.
The three dealerships generated approximately $111 million in revenue during the trailing 12 months ended in the first quarter of 2026, while recording a combined net loss of $1 million.
The transaction generated gross proceeds of approximately $32.2 million. AutoCanada said the net proceeds will initially be used to repay its revolving credit facility.
“This transaction reflects our disciplined approach to capital allocation,” said Samuel Cochrane, Chief Executive Officer of AutoCanada, in a statement.
Following the sale, AutoCanada’s Canadian operations include 61 franchised dealerships representing 23 automotive brands across eight provinces, along with three independent used-vehicle dealerships.
