Hyundai Canada has appointed longtime executive Ken Maisonville as its new chief operating officer, a move the company said will strengthen alignment across its sales, marketing and aftersales operations.

The appointment reflects the OEM’s focus on refining processes and maintaining momentum in a market that continues to shift quickly. In the role, Maisonville will oversee core customer-facing functions with a mandate to unify decision-making and support collaboration across departments. The company said his leadership will be central to integrating strategies that reinforce Hyundai Canada’s position in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Maisonville brings more than 25 years of experience with Hyundai Auto Canada, having held a range of leadership roles across the organization. His long tenure has given him what the company describes as a deep understanding of its operational structure and the market conditions shaping today’s retail environment.

He is also known internally for his interest in talent development and building a culture that supports engagement and innovation. These are priorities Hyundai Canada has highlighted as key to its next phase of growth.

Steve Flamand, president and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada, said the appointment reflects the company’s confidence in Maisonville’s ability to guide the organization through its next chapter.

“As chief operating officer, he will help Hyundai Canada accelerate into the next gear, driving stronger synergies across the organization and steering us toward delivering exceptional experiences for our customers,” he said in a statement.
