Aftermarket auto tech spending is skyrocketing. What are people buying?

The Specialty Equipment Aftermarket Association (SEMA) has released a study on what consumers are buying to upgrade their new car, or to keep their old car up-to-date. According to SEMA Market Research, the top five mobile electronics are: sound-system and audio accessories, up 22 per cent; mobile TV and video cameras, up 18 per cent; navigation systems, up 18 per cent; alarms and security products, up 17 per cent; and wireless and smartphone integration products are up 11 per cent.
