CARFAX announced last week the integration of its real-time CARFAX Vehicle History Reports with CarDR.com’s new smartphone Vehicle Appraisal App. CarDr.com’s new smartphone Vehicle Appraisal App is the first to use a Bluetooth connection to combine pricing and OEM level on-board diagnostics. The integration will allow used car dealers, appraisers, wholesalers and inspectors to more accurately establish a vehicle’s true value.

Perhaps most importantly, the app will reveal hidden OBD faults from the chassis and body modules, issues that often cost more than $2,000 to correct and can lead to significant sales margin erosion in used car purchases at the dealership level.
With functionality that includes taking photos, adding appraisal notes, and viewing previous appraisals on a vehicle, the app creates dynamic reports for each vehicle appraised.
