Service lane technology provider Dealer-FX recently launched new additions to its end-to-end service suite that provides consumers with the self-service option to pay via mobile.
“Payments, the newest addition to Dealer-FX’s product suite, offers dealerships the ability to instantly send service invoices by text or email and provides consumers with convenient, safe, and flexible payment options,” said Dealer-FX.
The company’s self-serving options mean consumers can interact with dealers by text, mobile device, on their website, over the phone, or in-person throughout the service process. For example, consumers can schedule, check-in, receive updates, communicate, pay, and check out from their mobile device.
“Too many dealers are saddled with software from companies that built their code in the ‘80s and ‘90s,” said Bill Lucchini CEO of Dealer-FX. “Today, customers expect a simple, modern, mobile-centric experience and when dealerships disappoint them, it results in low satisfaction and customer defection,”
Lucchini said the industry needs to provide a better experience for consumers, and if done correctly it can increase loyalty among customers and help dealerships thrive. The Payments launch aims to “delight” dealers while helping to boost customer satisfaction and retention for dealerships.
The self-serve approach also offers a financial opportunity for dealers; Dealer-FX said its clients have on average experienced a 20 per cent increase in dollars per RO when their customers book a service appointment through online scheduling. That increase continues when scheduling is combined with mobile check-in; the company said dealers are seeing up to $31 in additional services per RO.
The Payments launch also aims to reduce one of the friction points consumers typically experience with dealerships when servicing their vehicle.
