Rapid Recon, which owns a popular dealership software system, announced this week in a press release that with the completion of installation at Yellowstone Motors, dealerships in every U.S. state and eight Canadian provinces are now using their workflow management software solution for vehicle reconditioning.
Founded in 2010, Rapid Recon’s dealership software system now manages over 13 million vehicles and specializes in providing dealerships with data, benchmarking and best practices for vehicle reconditioning.
The installation at Yellowstone Motors, which is a four-franchise dealership in Powell, Wyoming is a milestone for Rapid Recon, as the company’s software is now being used by approximately 2,000 auto dealers worldwide. The company says it has 20,000 users across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, South Africa and Australia. The software is designed to help dealerships increase inventory turns and quicken the time it takes to sell their used vehicles while increasing per-vehicle profits.
To access these benefits, dealerships leverage the software to reduce the time it takes to prepare used cars for resale. With the software it takes just three to five days to prepare used vehicles for resale, which is well below the industry norm of 10 to 20 days (and in some cases, vehicle preparation takes even longer). The software makes it possible to turn inventory more quickly by offering dealerships the opportunity to leverage powerful data and precise work item controls.
According to their press release, Rapid Recon software helps increase inventory turn and per-vehicle profits “by giving auto dealers a precise advantage for getting cars professionally sale-ready more quickly.” Designed for franchise and independent dealerships, the company says that their software is “designed from the ground-up to help dealers know it, find, and sell it – a reconditioning rhythm that ensures a higher lead conversion rate through the sales and BDC departments.”
