Daimler to cut more costs due to Q2 loss

Expect more cost-cutting from Daimler due to an unexpected second-quarter operating loss, according to the OEM’s chief executive. “Our previous efficiency goals covered the upcoming transformation, but not a global recession,” said CEO Ola Kaellenius. “That’s why we are further sharpening our course.” Kaellenius also said the company was in talks with labour representatives about savings.
