Dealer Security launched a page on its website dedicated to providing automotive dealerships with more information about its COVID-19 solutions.
The page was published in June and includes details about its tools and use of Avigilon — which includes video, cloud, and access-control solutions. Dealer Security leverages Avigilon’s video analytics for social distancing, face mask detection, contact tracing, and thermal screening to help improve workplace safety.
“Our tools for occupancy counting, social distancing and face mask detection combine video with AI-powered analytics to collect visual footage and statistical patterns on how people in a workplace are complying with policies around max occupancy rates, social distancing and the use of face masks,” said Dealer Security in its update.
The company said that data for all three technologies can be accessed through dashboard reports in the Avigilon Cloud Services (ACS) platform. Occupancy counting, for example, will display the number of people inside the dealership based on cameras installed at entry and exit points of the store/facility.
“Depending upon the net occupancy rate relative to the threshold, this number can be used to trigger a visual indicator on the tablet to ENTER (e.g. green light) or WAIT (e.g. red light),” said Dealer Security.
For its face mask detection and social distancing tools, any violation of these two areas will be displayed in a dashboard in ACS to show the times and locations where violations are more common. The face mask detection tool can also be configured as alarms that show up in the Focus of Attention interface, so that the dealer can monitor the situation in real-time.
Dealer Security said these solutions are available at no additional cost to customers on the latest version of its VMS platform, Avigilon Control Center (ACC) 7. The features are also scheduled to be released in its ACC 7.8 in late June.
The company also has a contact tracing tool that dealers can use through its Identity Correlation Report, and which is offered at no additional cost within its Access Control Manager solution. And a thermal screening tool (thermal temperature sensing cameras) is in progress, but not yet available.
More information about the tools and features can be found here.
