automotiveMastermind has published a 35-point checklist for dealerships that are preparing to reopen their service and/or showroom doors.
“As dealers prepare for the day that they can reopen their showroom doors post COVID-19 shutdowns, many may feel uncertain about where to begin,” said the company on its website, adding that “we have compiled a comprehensive checklist to run through if you receive approval to open your showroom backup for business.”
The checklist covers areas in inventory management, for the sales team, preparing for a successful re-opening, sales department relaunch, and setting up the service department. Other areas include human resource considerations and facility management considerations.
“While dealerships re-opening their showroom doors is a positive sign, the market is and will remain financially vulnerable for some time,” said automotive Mastermind. “Now, more than ever, it is important that dealerships have the right tools to re-engage their teams quickly and sell cars more efficiently.”
Dealers can download the 35-point checklist here.
The PDF is a follow-up to another checklist published earlier during the COVID-19 crisis, for dealerships that were mandated to close.
The company is also offering an in-depth webinar on May 7. The company’s Senior Manager of Partner Performance, Ian Grace, will share his approach for re-opening dealerships, and will offer specific measures that dealers can implement right away.
