Nissan Canada and FLO have partnered to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption across the country. The agreement sees the new FLO Home charging station become the recommended residential charging station for owners of the Nissan LEAF.
“With this partnership, we want to simplify the decision of buying an electric car by fulfilling EV drivers’ charging needs at home and on the road, straight from the dealership,” says FLO president and CEO Louis Tremblay.
Available since last December, the FLO Home charging station was introduced to the public at the Nissan Canada kiosk during the Montreal Auto Show. It is designed and manufactured in Quebec by AddÉnergie,
Nissan is offering a $500 discount on the FLO unit to buyers of a new LEAF vehicle from a participating dealer until March 31. FLO will offer them a free access card to its charging network of more than 3,000 charging stations across Canada.
According to Tremblay, more than 80 per cent of EV charging occurs at home.
“That’s why EV owners must count on a reliable, efficient and sturdy residential charging station to be sure that their car is ready to go whenever they need it,” Tremblay says.
