Masaharu Kondo has been appointed President of Mazda Canada, effective April 1, 2016, in which he will oversee the carmaker’s 165 dealerships across Canada.
Kondo is the current Deputy Manager of Global Sales & Marketing Division at Mazda Motor Corp. and he will replace Kory Koreeda, who is transferring to Mazda North American Operations, said the company.
“I would like to express my gratitude to Kory for his leadership and the contributions he has made to Mazda in Canada. I am confident that Kondo’s wealth of international experience will ensure continued success in Canada and help take the company into the next phase of our global strategy ,” said Akira Marumoto, Executive Vice-President and Assistant to President for Mazda Motor Corp. in a written release.
Kondo has worked with Mazda for 28 years, having served in a variety of executive positions at the company’s headquarters in Hiroshima, Japan and as Managing Director for Mazda Motor Poland.
He’s also been General Manager of the Market Support for Overseas Sales Divisions at MC where he was responsible for product marketing, new model launches and customer satisfaction initiatives for Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
