It was a busy day on the showroom floor at this year’s 2015 Ontario Dealer Day, as Ontario dealers and dealership personnel toured Canada’s largest trade show event for dealers.
They could check out the booths from exhibitors offering everything from banking and financing options, a broad range of software tools, tire storage, incentive programs, wheel alignment equipment, and just about anything you can imagine to help run a better dealership.
It was the second year for this event, co-hosted by the Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) and Co-Auto Co-Operative. It was held April 14 at the Paramount Conference and Event Venue in Woodbridge, Ont.
There was a hive of activity when the tradeshow floor opened at 10 a.m., followed by annual general meetings for Co-Auto and the TADA. Organizers say the attendance was much higher this year than at the inaugural event last year.
Chuck Seguin, President of Seguin Advisory Services and a regular Canadian auto dealer columnist, also delivered an engaging keynote address on the trends that are shaping the future of the auto retail industry.
The show finally wrapped up with a cocktail hour and dinner by 7 p.m.
Canadian auto dealer’s editorial and video teams were on site and set up a mobile video studio to interview event coordinators, dealers and other attendees. The video interviews were edited on site in the Universus Media booth, then posted live to Canadian Automotive Video.com on the day of the event.
