With 2014 expected to end on a high note, and new-vehicle retail sales projected to reach 1.5 million vehicles in December, J.D. Power and LMC Automotive are now turning their attention to vehicle sales in the new year.
Citing job creation, wage growth and low gas prices, which will drive more consumers to showrooms, the consultancies believe U.S. auto sales will continue to increase in 2015 to 17 million vehicles.
Last year, total vehicle sales in December 2013 ended up around 1.3 million units, so December 2014 sales are expected to increase by six per cent.
