When the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) opens its doors in January, dealers and automotive suppliers can expect to see big crowds, glitzy events, and a bevy of new vehicles and innovative products.

Attendees can also get a sneak peak of the world’s first full-size, working 3D-printed vehicle, the Strati, a brainchild of Local Motors, a Phoenix-based technology company.

“The Detroit show is a reflection of the health and excitement of the global industry,” said Scott LaRiche, NAIAS 2015 chairman, in a press release. “It’s all part of a positive new energy and exciting new vibe that’s prevalent in the city and in our industry. We feel it every day.”

To up the ante for the 27th global auto show, the Cobo Center event venue has undergone a $300 million renovation, featuring upgrades including additional rooms, new carpeting, lighting, and a new outdoor digital screen at the corner of Washington and Congress.
