Vehicle: 2014 BMW 328d xDrive Touring

Rosalind Groenewoud, also known as “Roz G” in skiing circles, participated at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. She’s a member of Canada’s National Freeski Team. The freeskier is aiming for another medal to add to her collection, which includes first-place finishes at the 2013 FIS World Cup Finals, 2013 Sochi World Cup, 2012 X Games, and 2012 European X Games. When she’s not competing or training, she’s working on a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree at Quest University in Squamish, B.C. She’s also an athlete ambassador for Right to Play, a global humanitarian group focusing on sport to empower children. On the slopes, you’ll recognize “Roz G” by her trademark red lipstick, which she always wears when competing.

“I chose the Touring because I wanted a diesel vehicle that fits a ski bag or a bike in the back. I love that it fits everything I need, yet is still stealthy… The heated steering wheel is such a neat feature. I also love the Head-Up Display — being able to see the necessary information for driving and directions right in the windshield means that I can just focus on driving the road as fast as is legally possible,” says the 24-year-old Calgary, Alta., native.

“It’s just like my Olympic sport. Style, power and performance are equally important in halfpipe skiing and my BMW delivers on all three. My BMW says that I’m sporty, environmentally conscious, & a dynamic driver.”
