Rotary Lift has launched its new AR18 four-post alignment lift. Considered to be one of the most versatile in the industry, the AR18 has been designed to meet the requirements of car and truck dealers, as well as independent repair shops and mixed fleets.
The AR18 incorporates two stainless steel turning radius gauges for use when performing alignments and is compatible with all brands and types of alignment instrumentation. The lift has a rated capacity of 18,000 lbs (8,165 kg), enabling it to be used for servicing vehicles up to and including Class 5 trucks. One runway is adjustable by three inches to allow the lift to be narrowed or widened depending on the vehicle being serviced.
“The AR18’s ability to do it all means you won’t have to turn away customers or send out alignment work anymore,” remarked Doug Spiller, heavy-duty product manager for Rotary Lift. “The lift boasts a wide range of features, giving users the flexibility to use a single shop bay for multiple purposes. It can be utilized for repairs on everything from sedans and pickups to ambulances and day cabs,” Spiller said. “If you want to add four-wheel alignments to your service offerings, it can be set up to accommodate wheelbases as short as 63 inches (1,600 mm) and as long as 162 inches (4,114 mm). The extended-length model increases the maximum wheelbase capability up to 198 inches (5,029 mm).”
Spiller also remarked that “four-post lifts simplify the alignment process, are easy to use, and help boost productivity. “The AR18 comes with a non-skid surface for secure footing, half-inch steel cabling for durability and a patented lock management system for peace of mind,” he said.
The AR18 has been third-party tested by ETL and approved by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) to meet industry safety and performance standards.
