Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd and Manheim Canada have announced a new partnership. Starting in May, Ford will be running vehicles through Manheim Toronto’s weekly dealer auction. The vehicles in question will include off-lease models, daily rental repurchase cars and repo units. Dealers will also be able to purchase vehicles through OVE.com.
Upon news of the announcement, Nick Peluso, Manheim’s senior vice-president of customer management, stated that “Ford and Manheim have a longstanding partnership in the U.S. for almost half a century and we are thrilled to be working with them in Canada. This is a great opportunity for us to build on the best practices we’ve learned with Ford around the world, show (the automaker) our service advantages and continue to grow our relationship.”
Tim Quesnel, Ford of Canada’s remarketing operations manager, added that “we look forward to working with Manheim. We have some important goals in common: make it as easy as possible for dealers to access the vehicles they need and make the customer experience a positive one. We are encouraging our dealers to be ready to take advantage of these sales.”
Cheryl Munce, general manager of Manheim Toronto said in an official release that the staff “is very excited to be working with the Ford team. Ford of Canada brings a proven reputation as a trusted seller with high-quality products, something we
appreciate as much as our customers do!”
