In Toronto, Downtown Honda, is expanding. The dealership recently broke ground at its new site on Eastern Avenue, close to Cherry Street. With downtown Toronto having experienced a massive boom in condo building over the last few years the dealership felt the time was right to expand its operations. “A downtown dealership usually faces a lot of challenges: lack of land, parking, changing demographics and massive real estate costs,” remarked Angus Tai, general manager of Downtown Honda. The new facility, which is expected to be completed in 2014, will boast a 50,000 sq.ft. building that includes a climate controlled, 16-car showroom, more than 200 parking spots and a state-of-the-art service centre with 25 service bays.

Other features will include a large customer waiting lounge, complimentary WiFi access at individual workstations, a children’s play area and a shuttle service which will run to and from Toronto’s downtown core.
