
Presented by BMO, the Community Driver Awards highlighted dealerships that are deeply committed to giving back to their local communities through charitable initiatives, sustainability projects, and community leadership.
Dealers and sales professionals across British Columbia were recognized for their performance in electric vehicle sales, customer service and community involvement at the Vancouver International Auto Show, which opened with an awards ceremony hosted by the New Car Dealers Association of B.C.
The annual Green Star Awards recognize dealerships that sell the highest number of clean energy vehicles, including battery electric and plug-in hybrid models, across provincial regions. Awards are also given for the most improved dealerships in each category.

“It’s exciting to welcome the industry back to Vancouver and kick off the Auto Show by recognizing the leadership shaping its future,” said Blair Qualey, President and CEO of the New Car Dealers Association of B.C., in a statement. “Our dealers and sales professionals continue to raise the bar by embracing innovation, advancing clean energy adoption, and delivering real choice for consumers. We’re proud to celebrate those who are driving meaningful progress across the province.”
Among the 2025 winners, Victoria Hyundai led battery electric vehicle sales on Vancouver Island, while Richmond Hyundai topped the Lower Mainland. Castlegar Hyundai and Straightline Chevrolet Buick GMC in Terrace were recognized in the Interior and Northern regions, respectively. Plug-in hybrid leaders included Kia Victoria, Kia West in Coquitlam and Kelowna Kia, reflecting strong performance from the brand across multiple markets.

Presented by EBlock, the Salesperson of the Year Award was presented to dealer-member salespeople across all classes who have excelled in the front-line position of sales.
The ceremony also recognized front-line staff through the Salesperson of the Year awards, presented by EBlock, highlighting top performers from dealerships representing a wide range of brands, including luxury and mass-market retailers.
Community engagement was also a focus, with the Community Driver Awards, presented by BMO, recognizing dealerships for charitable initiatives and local leadership. Winners included Wolfe Mazda in Surrey, Westwood Honda in Metro Vancouver and Kia Victoria on Vancouver Island.
