Argus Cyber Security changes name to PlaxidityX

Argus Cyber Security, a mobility cyber security company, has changed its name to PlaxidityX to highlight its focus on meeting future security challenges within the mobility sector. It also represents a milestone in the company’s evolution.

In a news release, the company said it was created 10 years ago in Israel at a time when vehicle cyber security was less common. However, it now once again stands at the forefront of a major shift in mobility cyber security, which Argus (now PlaxidityX) said is being driven by the emergence of software defined vehicles (SDV).

“Our company’s transformation into PlaxidityX represents a new chapter in our story of innovation and excellence,” said Ronen Smoly, CEO of PlaxidityX, in a statement.

He added that the change reflects the company’s commitment to advancing the automotive and mobility cyber security landscape, “and underscores our dedication to providing comprehensive solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers and partners.”

PlaxidityX fuses the meanings of “placidity” to represent tranquility, calmness, and peace-of-mind, while the “X” symbolizes the company’s innovation and cutting-edge technology. The name “reflects our commitment to providing a secure digital environment through advanced cybersecurity solutions.”
