Groupe Touchette names Francis Lalonde as VP of Supply Chain

Canadian-owned tire distributor Groupe Touchette has named Francis Lalonde its VP of Supply Chain, the company announced in a news release.

They said Lalonde has extensive experience in operations management, distribution, procurement, and transportation, and that he will bring a wealth of expertise to his new role. His experience should especially support the company’s growth and supply chain development goals.

“Francis possesses a unique ability to engage directly with all stakeholders, providing an accurate assessment of the situation and ultimately making the best decisions for the organization,” said Nicolas Touchette, Co-owner and CEO of Groupe Touchette, in a statement.

He added that Lalonde possesses “excellent business acumen,” and that they are confident that he will help sustain company growth and prepare Groupe Touchette for the challenges ahead.

Lalonde’s resume and educational background back up the company’s comments; he has previously held senior management positions, including as Regional Vice President of Operations for Quebec and Atlantic Canada at Sysco Canada, Vice President of Transportation at Walmart Canada, and Chief Commercial Officer at KNNX.

He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He has also received an executive certificate in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management and a certificate in Business Excellence from the University of California, Berkeley.

“I am not only eager to work closely with the talented team at Groupe Touchette, but also to contribute to the success of a company renowned for its operational expertise, inspiring journey, and deep respect for its employees,” said Lalonde in a statement.
