Several Canadian automotive companies have received awards in the 2022 Canada’s Best Managed Companies program, presented by Deloitte.
The program, now in its 29th year, recognizes excellence in private Canadian-owned companies with annual revenues over $50 million. OpenRoad Auto Group, Driving Change Automotive Group and Dilawri’s Crown Auto Group received the Platinum Award given out to companies that have maintained their Best Managed Status for seven years or more. OpenRoad Auto Group is based in B.C., Dilawri’s Crown Auto Group in Manitoba, while Driving Change Automotive Group has dealerships in Alberta and Manitoba.
First-time winners included: Quebec-based Automobile en direct.com and Groupe Park Avenue Inc., and Ontario-based Policaro Group. AEC, a global mobility solutions provider and Europe’s largest importer of Dodge and Ram vehicles based in St. Catharines, was also named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the first time.
Each year hundreds of entrepreneurial companies undergo a rigorous application process to be considered for the award. This is the 29th year of the program.
“The 2022 Best Managed winners have demonstrated an exceptional ability to identify lucrative opportunities and successfully adapt to new situations, leveraging industry-leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth,” said Lorrie King, National Co-Leader of the Canadian program and Partner, Deloitte Private, in a media release.
