CarGurus has announced the winners of its 2026 Top Dealer Awards, recognizing Canadian dealerships that stand out for customer satisfaction and competitive vehicle pricing.
The automotive marketplace said fewer than 10 per cent of dealerships on its platform earned the distinction this year. Now in its 12th year, the program uses verified customer reviews and CarGurus marketplace data to determine the winners.
“CarGurus is guided by a mission of making car shopping more transparent and trustworthy, and our Top Dealer Award winners help bring that to life,” said Sam Zales, President and Chief Operating Officer at CarGurus. “These awards recognize those who consistently stand out, while giving shoppers another trusted signal as they decide where to buy their next car.”
Canadian dealerships can receive awards in two categories.
The Top Rated Dealer award recognizes retailers with strong customer satisfaction scores. To qualify, dealerships needed an average rating of at least 4.5 out of five from verified customer reviews submitted during 2025, based on a minimum of four reviews.
The Top Value Dealer award focuses on competitive vehicle pricing. CarGurus recognized the 100 dealerships with the highest share of 2025 inventory receiving a “Good” or “Great” Deal Rating on its marketplace.

Winning dealerships receive Top Dealer badging on the CarGurus website as well as signage for use at their stores. The company said the designation is intended to help consumers identify recognized dealerships whether they begin their vehicle search online or visit a store.
The awards also highlight how online reputation and inventory pricing can influence visibility with shoppers. Consistently strong customer reviews and competitive listings can provide another point of differentiation as consumers compare retailers before making contact.
