The BMW Group expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Alpina. According to Driving, there will be consolidation resulting from the deal. “According to BMW, the sale will result in the current Alpina vehicle program agreement ending when the 2020 contract runs out in 2025,” said Driving. “This will have a jobs implication, with BMW saying they will make necessary adjustments to the Buchloe workforce over the coming years.” BMW will however work with Alpina to offer new positions within its group.
