U.K. new car registrations up 674% in May

New car registrations in the United Kingdom were up 674% in May 2021, year-over-year, equivalent to 156,737 registrations. The figures are impressive, but still not at pre-COVID levels as it is still around 13.2 per cent below the 10-year May average. “The first national lockdown meant new cars could only be sold via click-and-collect in May 2020, so there were only 20,247 registrations in that month,” said Auto Express.
