Kia recently launched its first virtual auto show for Canada on an interactive and immersive platform that offers participants “front-row” access to its vehicle lineup and special announcements for the spring.
The Virtual Auto Show offers a 3D environment meant to provide Canadians, media, and automotive enthusiasts with the ability to experience the OEM’s full Canada lineup, partake in interactive virtual experiences, and witness Canadian-specific new product launches. The platform will be active from February 22 until April 30, when it will also be free-of-charge.
“What began as a solution to not having in-person auto shows evolved into a contemporary, category-leading consumer experience,” said Elias El-Achhab, Kia Canada’s Chief Operating Officer. “Our team has created a truly immersive virtual space, and we can’t wait for Canadians to see everything they are able to do within our platform that leverages innovative technology.”
Michael Kopke, Kia Canada’s Director of Marketing, said that given the impact of COVID-19 the company decided to pivot to an online platform and leverage design data to help bring their vehicles to life in a virtual environment. “The virtual auto show presents the perfect opportunity to engage one-on-one with the brand, at your own pace and in the comfort and safety of home,” said Kopke.
Participants/users can explore the vehicle models in 3D, inside and out, and enjoy 24/7 live chat support with a Kia specialist who can respond to product questions or to book an appointment at a Kia dealership.
The Virtual Auto Show also includes an AR (augmented reality) extension for mobile to allow users to project any given model into their immediate surroundings.
The free virtual platform is fully accessible by desktop and offers a modified mobile option. You can visit the website at the following address: www.kiavirtualautoshow.ca.
