Tesla is recalling 158,000 Model S and Model X vehicles in the United States over a computer fault that could reportedly cause the rear-view camera, safety systems, defogging/defrosting settings, Autopilot, turn signalling and driver alerts to fail. The affected models were built between 2012 and 2018. Tesla Australia faced the same issue last year and did not launch a recall, stating the fault had “no impact on basic vehicle driving functionality and controllability.” The NHTSA suggests otherwise.
